Spacers, Washers, Locking Washers
A 'tailored' world
DescriptionThe family of spacers and washers is vast and they are used in practically all industrial applications. Spacer is the name usually given to washers over a millimetre thick. Mostly made of iron, then galvanised, they can also be made of hardened steel and can have special finishings. Locking washers can be made of copper, aluminium, iron etc. They are chiefly used to seal joints. They usually have teeth or edges to fold over or are countersunk to prevent the nuts and studs they are attached to from unscrewing.
Up to 500 tonnes of power, Athena presses cut pieces of various kinds of material up to 6 mm thick. They use various dies, depending on the type of product required. Electronic control systems (ECUs) and painstaking checks ensure perfect results.
