Vermiculite is a complex of magnesium, aluminium and iron silicate, ideal for heating system insulation, thanks to its resistance to high temperatures (up to 1150°C) and to the direct contact with fire. Vermiculite is lightweight, ecological and recyclable. Its high reflectivity at highest temperatures guarantees low combustion emissions. Panels are available in a wide range of sizes and thicknesses and its main applications are boilers, stoves and fireplaces.
Athena has also developed special vermiculite panels with a microporous inner core, which guarantees more energetic efficiency and performances.
