Automotive gaskets

To address a wide range of application requirements, compact rubber-coated metal gaskets are available in both expanded and compact variants. The compact rubber-coated metal configuration features embossed surfaces that help compensate for irregularities in the mating faces, ensuring optimal sealing efficiency. This design enables uniform compression, significantly improving resistance to high pressures, vibrations, and thermal expansion. As a result, these gaskets deliver reliable and consistent performance, even in critical applications such as axles, engines, and other high-stress components.

Co-moulded rubber-metal gaskets combine the structural rigidity of metal with the elasticity of rubber, offering an ideal solution for oil-immersed applications exposed to vibrations and misalignments. The overmolding process ensures strong mechanical integrity and effective sealing even under dynamic conditions. The compounds used (FKM, NBR, ACM) provide excellent chemical and thermal resistance up to +230°C, making them perfect for demanding environments and long operating cycles.

Designed to ensure sealing between pump bodies, preventing fluid leaks. The use of specific materials, such as rubberized metal sheets, allows us to create complex shapes without additional crimping, making these gaskets a cost-effective solution. Other materials used can include paper-based and asbestos-free materials.

Inverter gaskets are designed to ensure high sealing performance and reliability in electronic and thermally stressed applications, such as inverter modules for electric mobility. Made from selected compounds (EPDM, AEM, ACM, silicone), they withstand a wide temperature range (-40°C to +250°C) and offer chemical compatibility with oils and coolant fluids. Thanks to high-precision injection molding, they guarantee high-quality finishes even on complex geometries, with excellent dimensional stability, UL94 self-extinguishing properties, and long service life.

Silicone foam gaskets, made from expanded silica material, provide outstanding insulation and flame-retardant properties, along with excellent resistance to high temperatures (ranging from -60°C to +250°C), UV rays, ozone, weathering, and corrosion. Ideal for sealing, thermal insulation, and shock absorption, these gaskets are custom-developed by Athena in collaboration with OEMs. Available in various shapes, thicknesses and densities, they offer optimal thermal conductivity, waterproofing, and compliance with UL94 V-0 and HF-1 standards.

Ceramic silicone foam gaskets offer excellent resistance to direct flame exposure (up to 800°C for 10 minutes) and strong environmental durability against UV, ozone, weathering, and corrosion. Ideal for thermal insulation, sealing, and shock absorption, these gaskets are customized by Athena through co-design with OEMs. They provide exceptional insulation performance are waterproof, flame-retardant to UL94 V-0 and HF-1 standards, and available in various shapes, thicknesses and a density.

Thermal conductive silicone pads enhance battery safety and performance thanks to their high heat dissipation capability. Athena customizes them into gaskets, insulators, and high-value technical components through co-design with OEMs. They provide excellent thermal conductivity, optimal dielectric strength and UL94 V-0 flame-retardant classification. Available with self-adhesive surfaces on both sides, in customizable shapes, thicknesses and densities.
