SilicaFire is Athena’s new line of silicone-based materials designed to provide flame protection, thermal insulation or dielectric resistance, in compliance with the most stringent OEM standards.

 

Thanks to our expertise, we manufacture custom gaskets and pads in SilicaFire for the automotive, EV battery and energy storage sectors.

Three series, multiple applications

The SilicaFire family includes three series of high-performance materials, all customizable in shape, thickness, density, and color. They can be transformed into gaskets, insulators, or technical components through co-design with the customer.

SILICAFIRE ATH-10 SERIES

Insulating silicone foam

Expanded material ideal for thermal insulation, flame protection and shock absorption. Particularly suitable for gaskets in battery packs or photovoltaic systems.

 

 

  • Self-extinguishing according to UL 94 V-0 / HF-1 standards
  • Insulating, withstanding extreme temperatures (-60°C to +250°C), thermal conductivity < 0.15 W/m·K
  • Fully waterproof, resistant to UV, ozone, and weathering
  • Customizable in shape, thickness, density, and color

SILICAFIRE ATH-11 SERIES

Ceramic silicone

Material with extremely high fire resistance, designed for critical environments and extreme conditions. Its ability to resist 800°C for 10 minutes ensures critical evacuation time during emergencies.

 

 

  • Self-extinguishing per UL 94 V-0 / HF-1
  • Withstands direct flame for 10 minutes at 800°C, ceramic transformation at ~850°C
  • Thermal conductivity < 0.15 W/m·K
  • Waterproof, UV-, ozone-, and weather-resistant
  • Customizable in shape, thickness, density, and color

SILICAFIRE ATH-20 SERIES

Thermally conductive silicone

Material with excellent thermal dissipation, ideal as pads to improve safety and performance of EV batteries and energy storage systems.

 

 

  • Self-extinguishing according to UL 94 V-0
  • Dielectric strength up to 12 kV/mm
  • Thickness from 0.15 to 5 mm, density: 2.1–2.5 g/cm³
  • Double-sided self-adhesive surface
