Athena has a wide experience in thermal insulation and in the production of high temperature resistant gaskets, thanks to the ability to choose the right material and geometry for any application.
We offer solutions based on fiberglass, ceramic fibers, reinforced graphite, silicone rubber, or combinations of materials studied by our R&D department to guarantee tightness, resistance and durability at the highest levels.
Graphite

Graphite

Suitable for use at high temperature and pressure, with thermo-mechanical cycling or shock. Excellent resistance to creep, excellent chemical stability. Good tightness even with low tightening loads and flanges with irregular surface. Compliant to DIN28091-4. Ideal in the presence of saturated and superheated steam and chemically aggressive fluids, with the exception of highly oxidizing agents.

SDC 380

SDC 380

SDC 380 is the new special gasket introduced by Athena, which offers a lot of benefits from the combination between silicone rubber and fire-resistant-fibers in terms of low permeability and high resistance to extreme temperatures, ageing and acid condensation. SDC 380 is specifically suited for special applications up to 300°C, where other standard gaskets cannot guarantee a perfect sealing
Insulat HT Bio paper

Insulat HT Bio paper

Biosoluble paper, resistant up to 1200°C, density 200 kg/m3, low thermal conductivity, high stability and flexibility.
Expanded silicone

Expanded silicone

Silicone materials are an organic derivative of silica and thanks to their high resistance, they can be used in any condition, even in the most extreme ones.
