2024 Sustainability Report: concrete actions for a shared future
25 July 2025
The 2024 Sustainability Report is now available, clearly and transparently outlining Athena’s commitment to the environment, people, and the communities in which we operate. This commitment translates into tangible actions, measurable results, and clear objectives, aligned with the values that have always guided us.
Responsibility is not just a corporate value: it is a daily choice, a concrete commitment to the environment around us and the community we are part of.
For this reason, we are increasingly integrating sustainability into our corporate strategy and processes, promoting a long-term oriented approach.
For Athena, sustainability also means building solid and transparent relationships with customers, suppliers and financial partners, sharing a medium-long term vision that goes beyond short-term logic and promotes truly responsible and long-lasting development.
The report, prepared according to the ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards), offers a structured view of our performance in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) areas.
The scope of the report is on a consolidated level and also includes foreign subsidiaries, confirming a shared commitment throughout the entire value chain, both in Italy and abroad.
Key focus areas of the report include:
- Energy transition: investments in renewable sources and energy efficiency projects, aiming to gradually reduce our environmental footprint and increase the energy independence of production sites.
- People-centric value: welfare initiatives, continuous training, and professional development to promote the well-being and growth of our employees.
- Ethics and governance: strengthening ethical practices and organizational oversight for transparent, responsible, and long-term management.
- Community engagement: support for cultural, social, and sporting initiatives that generate shared value in the communities where we operate.
