New technical licensing agreement between Zhejiang Qianjiang Moto Co. LTD and Athena S.P.A.

Founded in 1985 with registered office in Wenling (Zhejiang Province), Zhejiang QIANJIANG MOTO CO., LTD (hereinafter referred to as QJ), is today one of the largest 2-wheel vehicle manufacturers in China. With manufacturing production of over 1 million motorcycles per year, QJ and all its related brands such as Qjang, Keeway and Benelli aspires to penetrate all export markets.

Athena, an international group based in Alonte (Vicenza), is structured in 3 business divisions and 10 production plants around the world, where it designs and manufactures engine components. Athena is equipped with several test centers with numerous machinery (dynamic dynamometers, vehicle test benches, exhaust gas test benches, etc.) to meet the needs of those consumers looking for an ideal solution for the EFI system or for ECU management (engine control unit). Thanks to the close collaboration with the most important pilots and with OEM research and development facilities all over the world, Athena has developed a unique range of engine control units that offers the customer advantages and features that enhance the product making it interesting and strategic.

The need to meet pollution standards prompted QJ to sign a licensing agreement with Athena for the production in China of the innovative ECU technology, designed and developed by Athena in Italy. This agreement allows QJ to achieve the strategic goal of equipping all motorcycles based on European designs at Chinese costs.

The president of QJ, Lin Huazhong, referring to the agreement with Athena states: "I am very proud and happy to collaborate with such a dynamic and avant-garde company and I am sure that for QJ this partnership represents a strategic moment for the overall improvement. of our standards of quality and technological development ".

Referring to the collaboration with QJ, Athena's president, Gianni L. I undoubtedly believe that this agreement represents for Athena another milestone in the strategy of expansion around the world in order to bring our technologies and our know-how overseas ".

The first motorcycle equipped with Italian technology will be launched on the market at the beginning of 2015. Starting from a single cylinder vehicle, the project will include twin-cylinder motorcycles, with the prospect of releasing on the market by the end of 2015 also the three-cylinder motorcycles. and four cylinders.
